THE COOKIE STORY - Mamaw Harmon’s Peanut Butter Cookies earned their 10-star rating from some of the toughest food critics South of the Mason Dixon Line.

Starting in 1960, the seventh graders at Gallatin County Middle School, Kentucky, checked off the days until Wednesday. For nearly 20 years, that’s the day that Mamaw fired up the school cafeteria’s ovens to bake her famous peanut butter cookies.
